Miss Venezuela Gabriela Isler has been crowned this year's Miss Universe, winning the title for the third time in six years.
As far as beauty pageants are concerned, the Miss Universecompetition is the be-all and end-all.
And this year's favourite, Miss Venezuela Gabriela Isler, a model, beat more than 100 other beautiies for the title.
This marks the third time in just six years that Venezuela has nabbed the title.
Fashion followers were glued to their seats as Isles took home the crown over runner-up, Miss Spain Patricia Yurena and Constanza Baez from Ecuador, who was the second runner up.
The 2013 pageant didn't have an Irish representative as Miss Universe Ireland organiser Andrea Roche decided to postpone the competition until 2014.
