Police: Pair arrested in Pasadena drug bust

2 people face drug-related charges

PASADENA, Md. —Anne Arundel County police said they arrested two people after a drug bust in Pasadena.
Detectives from the Northern District Tactical Patrol Unit were in the Freetown area of Anne Arundel County in reference to complaints of drug activity.
Police said while undercover detectives were in the area of Willie Johnson Lane and Willing Court, they were able to conduct a hand-to-hand purchase of crack cocaine from a woman and man around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.
After the cocaine purchase was made, detectives arrested the suspects, identified as Tykisha Nekia Edwards, 21, of Pasadena and Troy Neil Edwards, 20, of Pasadena.
Authorities said detectives seized seven individual baggies of crack cocaine with (an approximate street value $140 and a small amount of marijuana.
Tykisha Nekia Edwards was charged with distribution of a controlled substance narcotic (crack cocaine), controlled substance possession with intent to distribute (crack cocaine), controlled substance possession -- not marijuana (crack cocaine) and controlled substance possession marijuana.
Troy Neil Edwards was charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance narcotic (crack cocaine), conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute a controlled substance narcotic (crack cocaine), conspiracy to possess a controlled substance -- not marijuana (crack cocaine), possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance narcotic (crack cocaine) and controlled substance possession -- not marijuana (crack cocaine).
