Police investigate triple shooting at east Baltimore barber shop

2 children may have been inside shop during shooting

BALTIMORE Three people were shot inside a barber shop in east Baltimore on Saturday.

City police were called Saturday afternoon to Arthur's Barber Shop in the 1400 block of North Luzerne Avenue, where the shooting occurred.
WBAL-TV 11 News reporter David Collins reported two young children may have been inside the barber shop at the time of the shooting.
"Around 2:20 this afternoon, we had three people who were struck by gunfire at the scene behind me. As you can see, there are detectives actively working the scene to determine what happened," Baltimore police spokesman Lt. Eric Kowalczyk said.
According to police, a fourth person was injured during the incident but not by gunfire. All the victims are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at an area hospital.
Arthur's Barber Shop is one of the few businesses in the block of mostly vacant houses. Detectives canvassed the area, and crime scene technicians took photos of a couple cars and towed a sport utility vehicle. Police did not explain why.
"We are asking anyone who might have seen anything to come forward, to give us a call at 410-396-2433. We want people to know that we are out here and doing everything we can to solve this," Kowalczyk said.
There was no word on the conditions of the victims.
