2 men killed in Millersville crash early Wednesday

2 vehicles collided on Veterans Highway, police say
MILLERSVILLE, Md. —Two men were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Millersville on Wednesday morning.

Anne Arundel County fire and police officials were called to Veterans Highway between Crain Highway and Old Mill Road around 9 a.m., where they found the two vehicles that had collided.
Police said it appears the driver of a BMW was speeding when he lost control in the southbound lanes. The car began to spin counterclockwise, crossing the center line into the path of an oncoming vehicle in the northbound lanes.
The driver of the BMW, Anthony Lee Allen, 42, and a passenger, Shane Brandon Snyder, 32, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman driving the other vehicle was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with minor injuries, officials told 11 News. She was in stable condition Wednesday afternoon.
Police said it appears excessive speed and driver error contributed to the cause of the crash.
Veterans Highway in that area was closed for several hours.
