Baltimore County police investigate Rosedale sex assault

Series of sex crimes in city also under investigation


ROSEDALE, Md. —Baltimore County police are searching for the man who sexually assaulted a woman inside her home at gunpoint.

It happened last week in the 7400 block of Plain View Road.
Detectives tell 11 News the victim was letting her dog out around 5:30 p.m. when the man forced his way inside and attacked her. He then ran off through the woods.
The man is described as black and wearing a mask.
The case is strikingly similar to a series of sex crimes under investigation in Baltimore City.
Detectives released a sketch of the man believed to have assaulted four women in the past few weeks.
In each case, police said he approaches the victim outside of her home, pulls out a gun and forces her back inside to carry out the attack.
Police confirm they are looking into whether the Rosedale attack might be related.
