A resident in the 9400 block of Sewall Avenue called police around 10 p.m. to report a pickup truck had struck a tree in front of the property.
Police said they found a man between the ages of 25 and 30 in the truck who had been shot.
Authorities said it appeared the man was the only person in the truck.
The victim was flown to Shock Trauma. His condition hasn't been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
