Man, 18, arrested in Abingdon burglaries

Sheriff: Man caught on home surveillance video

ABINGDON, Md. —Harford County officials have arrested an 18-year-old man on burglary charges after he was caught on video in one of the incidents, authorities said.
Kyle Burnett Reddish, 18, of Abingdon, was charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, two counts of theft and rogue and vagabond.
Investigators said the charges stem from two incidents early Thursday morning. An Abingdon family on Hamburg Drive awakened by their dog barking found a purse spilled out on the sofa and other cash missing from the house.
A short time later, authorities received another burglary call in which someone had broken into a car and a home on Craigston Lane. The homeowner said his burglary alarm sounded and he called 911.
Investigators said a home surveillance system captured Reddish on video entering the car and the home. Nothing was taken.
Using the video, detectives identified Reddish as the suspect and he was arrested Friday. He has since been released after posting a $25,000 bond.
