Train service between Philadelphia, Baltimore restored

Mechanical problems to blame for Monday's suspension

 BALTIMORE —Amtrak Acela Express and Northeast Regional service was restored Monday night after a temporary suspension between Philadelphia and Baltimore.

Residual delays can be expected as crews work to clear heavy congestion caused by ealier problems with the overhead electrical system around Wilmington, Del., rail officials said.
Passengers who have paid but choose not to travel due to the service disruption can receive a refund or a voucher for future travel.
