Man found lying in North Point road dies

Police work to determine if man was hit by car or victim of assault 

 NORTH POINT, Md. —Baltimore County police are trying to determine how a man found lying in a roadway in the North Point area died.

Police got a call just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday about a body at Old North Point Road and Deboy Avenue.

Police said the victim was found suffering from some type of trauma to his head; however, investigators are not sure if he was the victim of a hit-and-run or an assault.

The victim was declared dead at the scene.

Crash team investigators are working with police to try to determine if the victim was struck by a vehicle.

The victim's name is not being released at this time.
