Police: Home invasion robbery suspect arrested

2 people injured in Glen Burnie incident

GLEN BURNIE, Md. —Anne Arundel County police said Tuesday that DNA evidence linked them to one of three suspects involved in a five-month-old home invasion robbery that injured two people.

Police said the home invasion happened on Oct. 18 in the 500 block of McPherson Road in Glen Burnie, where an 87-year-old man and his 73-year-old girlfriend reported that men forced their way inside the house and assaulted them before ransacking the home, taking money and property.
Investigators collected DNA evidence that linked them to a suspect to the incident.
Police said that suspect was identified as 26-year-old Travis J. Evans, of Baltimore. Evans was arrested on other charges by the Prince George's County Police Department on March 4 and is being held in their detention facility while awaiting trial.
A detainer has been placed on Evans to appear in Anne Arundel County on the home invasion charges, police said.
