University of Baltimore offering free semester

Finish 4 Free would give final semester for free to students finishing in 4 years

BALTIMORE —As the price of college tuition continues to skyrocket, one local university is offering one semester for free.

The University of Baltimore is announcing Finish 4 Free, an incentive-based program that would provide free tuition for the final semester for any student that finishes in four years.
To qualify for the Finish 4 Free program, students must be enrolled full-time, maintain satisfactory academic standings and be on track to graduate within eight semesters.
The school said the program means savings of about $3,300 for in-state students and more than $9,000 in savings for out-of-state students.  There is no minimum grade-point average requirement to qualify.
The program will begin with freshmen entering the university for the upcoming fall semester.
School officials said the program is a way to keep students on track so they graduate with less debt and get into the workforce earlier, as well as maximize their career earnings sooner.
