3 shot, 1 dead in Baltimore Wednesday

Homicide detectives investigating Appleton Street shooting

 BALTIMORE —Baltimore police are investigating three afternoon shootings Wednesday.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the 2300 block of Maryland Avenue at 23rd Street around 1:45 p.m. He suffered from gunshot wounds to the leg and hip and was taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
At about the same time, a man was shot in the 100 block of North Smallwood Street. The victim suffered from a gunshot wound to his leg and was taken to an area hospital.Later in the day, around 6 p.m., police were called to the 800 block of Appleton Street in west Baltimore, where a 21-year-old man suffered from a gunshot wound to his head.
