Maryland State Police investigating motorcycle crash near Finksburg

3 people taken to hospital

FINKSBURG, Md. —Maryland State Police are investigating an accident on Route 140 Monday evening that left a man seriously injured.

Investigators said a 2006 Honda motorcycle driven by Joshua Paul Devine, 26, of Westminster and a 1991 Ford Pickup truck, driven by Michael Henderson Brown, 55, of Westminster, were traveling south on Route 140 when they collided.
Officials said Devine lost control of the motorcycle and traveled into the lane Brown was in, causing him to hit Devine.  Devine was thrown from his bike.
Alcohol is not a factor in the collision, investigators said.
Devine was taken to the hospital with serious, multiple injuries.
Brown and a passenger in his truck were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
