Ohio man sentenced in Baltimore County for human trafficking

Prosecutors: Bennie Veasey had advertised young women online for prostitution
TOWSON, Md. —An Ohio man was sentenced in Baltimore County on Monday for human trafficking.

In July, a jury convicted Bennie Veasey, 35, of Cleveland, on two counts of human trafficking, receiving earnings of a prostitute and prostitution. A judge sentenced Veasey to 20 years in prison.
Prosecutors said Veasey had advertised an 18-year-old woman and 19-year-old woman on an Internet site for prostitution and brought them from Ohio to engage in prostitution on repeated occasions.
Prosecutors said Veasey had an extensive criminal record in Ohio, including drug trafficking convictions and aggravated assault and abduction.
