Officers were called to the 2700 block of East Monument Street in east Baltimore shortly after midnight for a report of an attempted sexual assault.
Police said the girl and other teenagers were approached by a young man armed with a weapon. The man forced the girl into an alley, where he attempted to sexually assault her, police said.
The girl was taken to an area hospital for treatment and she was released.
