Police: Driver didn't know 18-month-old was nearby
An 18-month-old boy was run over by a car in Lothian early Thursday morning.
Anne Arundel County police said the boy had been standing near or under a car in the 1200 block of Mount Zion Marlboro Road shortly before 8:30 a.m. when the driver pulled away, unaware that the child was there.
The boy was pinned under the vehicle. Once officials were able to get him out, he was flown to Johns Hopkins Children's Center with very serious injuries.
It's unclear if the child belonged to the driver of the car or someone else.
