2 teenagers stranded on icy Magothy River rescued

Teenagers taken to hospital

BALTIMORE —Two teenagers were hospitalized Sunday afternoon after being rescued from the icy Magothy River.
Anne Arundel County fire crews were called to the scene off of Jeronico Way around 2:30 p.m. and were able to get the boys into life vests.
Rescue teams then used an inflatable boat to bring the boys back to shore.
The boys were taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center and their conditions were not considered to be life-threatening.
First responders are still investigating how the boys ended up stranded on the ice.
