9 injured in 2 Baltimore house fires Sunday

6 children, 2 adults injured in fire on Argonne Drive
BALTIMORE —It was a busy Sunday for Baltimore City fire crews, who put out a house fire in the northern part of the city that sent eight people to hospitals, six of whom were children.

City firefighters worked for nearly an hour to bring the flames that broke out around 2 a.m. in the 1500 block of Argonne Drive under control.
By the afternoon, boards had been put up behind the windows, and marks of smoke damage could be seen.
Fire officials said all of the victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators are still working to uncover a cause.
Meanwhile, around 10 a.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to the 6100 block of Parkway Drive for a house fire.
There's no word on damage estimates yet, but there was a pile of charred rubble outside of the home.
Fire officials said the flames were brought under control quickly.
One person was injured, but officials have not released the extent of that victim's injuries. Crews are still trying to figure out a cause in that case, too.
