Prince George's County police say officers found the woman's body at the Red Roof Inn in Oxon Hill on Thursday morning, hours after D.C. police announced that they were looking for Relisha Rudd. Police have issued an Amber Alert for her.
D.C. police said Relisha may be in a white 1976 GMC truck with Maryland license plates 305015. She may be traveling with Kahlil Malik Tatum and Rickie Sheridan Lyles.
Police described Relisha as 4 feet tall, about 70 to 80 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. She may be in need of medication.
Officer Harry Bond says D.C. police advised them to check the motel because of a possible link to the missing child case, but it is not yet clear if the woman is connected to Relisha.
Police say Relisha was last seen Feb. 26 at a southeast Washington shelter. Police say she was picked up by someone her family knew, but wasn't returned.
