Naval Academy football player collapses at practice

Will McKamey flown to Shock Trauma in critical condition
BALTIMORE —A U.S. Naval Academy football player collapsed Saturday morning.

According to the academy's athletics website, Will McKamey collapsed during spring football practice. He was flown to Shock Trauma, where he is in critical condition.
WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tenn., is reporting McKamey is in a coma and showing little response, according to his mother's Facebook posts. The station is also reporting that McKamey's mother posted doctors had performed surgery to relieve a blood clot in his brain.
The Tennessee native reportedly suffered a similar incident during a high school football practice two years ago.
McKamey is a two-time all-state selection and was named Mr. Football for the state of Tennessee as a high school senior.
