CLAIBORNE, Md. —A Talbot County house was destroyed Sunday night in a two-alarm fire that took hours to put out.

County fire crews were called around 7 p.m. to a home in the 10400 block of Claiborne Road in Claiborne, just outside St. Michaels, where they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof.
Officials said the fire was so big that they had to call in additional crews and a tanker to help provide water to put it out.
The fire burned for several hours because crews said they had to wait for two 125-pound propane tanks that had been in the home to burn out.
Officials said no one was hurt.
The state Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a cause.
